Senior Landscape Architect:
Purpose and Scope: Waynesboro Landscape & Garden Center is an award-winning Landscape Architecture and Construction Company for residential, commercial, and municipal landscaping. Overseeing the installation, Senior Landscape Architects are responsible for meeting with prospective clients and generating sales. From the initial inquiry, the design professional should be able to navigate the sales process from the first meeting to any after care from a landscape or hardscape installation. The Senior Landscape Architect should be able to communicate effectively via phone and email, ensuring clients are always up to speed on their project. Communicating effectively with landscape crews is key in successful project management. The role will rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This role will report directly to the Landscape General Manager and assist on various other tasks throughout the year.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Navigate all aspects of the sales process
- Oversee all aspects of the installation
- Provide accurate information to customers via phone call and email
- Ability to answer questions and requests knowledgeably and in a timely manner
- Answer and direct phone calls

Additional Requirements: Valid Virginia driver’s license required along with an acceptable driving record as defined by our insurer, must have/pass acceptable criminal background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform basic physical tasks normal to the landscaping industry, including but not limited to kneeling for extended periods, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, lifting at least 50 lbs. and be able to work with arms above head level at times; must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures and in adverse weather and job site conditions. Must be able to perform basic tasks consistent with an office environment including but not limited to sitting at a desk for long periods of time, bending, crouching or kneeling to access files from ground level to 4.5 feet above the ground, pushing/pulling of file drawers, reaching in all directions and working at a computer and/or telephone for prolonged periods of time. This Irrigation & Lighting Technician will work through All Seasons Irrigation & Lighting, an affiliate company operating under our same parent company; J5 LLC.
Location: Within approximately a 50 mile radius of Charlottesville, VA
Job Summary: The primary role of the Irrigation/Lighting Technician is to service, repair and install outdoor irrigation and lighting systems using best practices. In addition, the Garden Center sits on over five acres and is home to a full-scale nursery, garden supplies, and gift shop. We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals with strong customer service skills to fill key roles in our Garden Center operation. The Nursery Associate roles require the ability to develop excellent customer relationships by utilizing communication skills, acute attention to detail, plant knowledge, and the ability to perform as part of a cohesive team.
